A little late but Happy New Year to all my sponsors , friends ,
relatives , fans & supporters ! Although I wish the years would slow down ,
I’m somewhat relieved that 2012 is over .Турецкая баня своими руками
I spent 3 weeks in Fueteuventura with the British
squad and returned back to the UK in time for a relaxing Christmas .
Far from a hot Aussie festive season , in fact a pretty miserable wet and
cold one ! But as my second xmas in Leeds , I again happily celebrated with all
Al’s Family . I never tend to train too much over the few weeks during Christmas .
Instead I probably over indulged and got into a ‘ Baileys before bed ‘ habit and
a mulled wine addiction!
However , over those few chilled out weeks I took
the oppurtunity to do a few races instead of training . A 10km road race (in
what would have to have been the most horrific conditions !)
at Ribble Valley I placed 3rd in 34:17 and the next weekend I got a
start in the Yorkshire XC championships and got another bronze.
I’m now back in the Canary Islands for another few weeks as
surprisingly the UK’s weather just took a turn for the worse . My fellow training
partner ( also current u23 World Champ ) Non Stanford, jumped on a
plane last weekend and we got ourselves to Lanzarote quick smart .
A long way from the start of the season yet, so all focus is still
on some consistent miles . I’ll return to Australia end of Feburary and at this
stage plan to bust out some cobwebs and start the season with a hard
Mooloolaba World Cup.
Till then , keep smiling Flicka
